Fun at NEARFEST in the Fall of October 3 & 4th, 2025. We camped out in our tent. The weather was just beautiful, couldn’t have asked for better. The nights though were cold. The first night, it went down to 41* outside and the second night was warmer, but Tim and I don’t mind sleeping out in the colder weather here and there. Had a great time making more memories with other fellow HAM Radio operators. The comradery and friendships the we make are special and it was nice to get together and hang out with friends. Friday night night, Tim (WM1H) ran the net for Granite State Amateur Radio. He also recorded the Net live and it is posted on YouTube

I sold a few things at Nearfest too, which was a pretty cool perk. Of coarse I had to take a walk over to the Sausage Sub trailer with some of my profits and trade it in for a nice sausage sub that I split with my Husband/ HAM Buddy Tim. I believe that they make their own sausage there and they are very good by the way. There were raffles going on that we hoped to win, but not this time. Congrats to the ones that did win though. I love going on these kinds of adventures with Tim. The people you meet are great and the fun times we’ve had. I feel very fortunate to have this opportunity to be in a HAM Radio Club and learning so much about the hobby… and its endless, there will always be more to learn. We like to document the many different things and adventures that we do and the good times that we’ve had with the hobby. ~73 for now… KC1VYM Kim
